Second Grade

 I am teaching the parts of the Mass.  PLEASE attend mass with your child every week.  They cannot learn what they do not understand.  This is not a "Mrs. Homa" rule, it is a Commandment.  

 Week of March 10, 2024

Complete the unfinished part of the check-up for Lesson 6.  We did the True/False in class, we reviewed the Word Bank and the 'fill in the blank' section is all that is needed.  This is the last chapter in the text.  They will have worksheets on Reconciliation and the Mass/Eucharist for the remainder of the year.  Please, please make sure they know how to worship at Mass.

Begin to Memorize the Act of Contrition - Memorize one line a day, then practice the whole prayer every day.

Day 1  Oh My God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You,

Day 2  and I detest all my sins because of your just punishments,

Day 3  but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love.

Day 4 I firmly resolve with the help of Your Grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen
