Amanda McDonald
Amanda McDonald , Soprano, was recently awarded the Bob Baughman Award as a Kansas City District Winner and won 1st Place in the Midwest Region of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions which took her to the Met stage as a finalist. She has participated as an artist with many opera companies and is active as a concert performer throughout the Philadelphia and Kansas City regions . Amanda recently sang the New York and Kansas City debut as Madame White Snake, and premiered a new musical called A Flash of Time at the Kimmel Center. Mrs. Frederick holds a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance and minor in church music from the University of Delaware. She also received her master’s degree and Artist Certificate from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Currently, she is an adjunct professor at Widener University, performs in concerts all over the country and is the music director at St. Rose of Lima Church. Amanda has always had a passion singing for the glory of God and is even a St. Rose of Lima alumni. You will often see Amanda accompanied by her daughters and sidekicks Lucy and Gabby.
